Time and Site Committee shall consist of the Chair and three additional
members, all of whom shall be appointed by the President. |

I.
Purpose |

To propose sites and dates for the annual Conventions.
|
| |
|
II.
Structure |
| |
|
|
- The Committee shall consist of a Chair and three other members.
- The President shall appoint all members.
- Both Canada and the United States shall be represented on the Committee,
as well as representative geographic areas of the North American continent.
|
| |
|
III.
Duties |
| |
|
|
- To select, and recommend to the Council, times and sites for the
annual Convention.
- To encourage all NASSH members to submit bids or suggestions for
future times and sites for NASSH conventions.
- To select a person or persons at the site to serve as the local
arrangements manager for each convention.
- To announce to the NASSH membership, at the annual meeting, suggested
times and sites for future meetings.

IV.
Responsibilities for the Chair |

|
The Chair shall keep full and accurate accounts of all significant
correspondence and actions taken by the Committee.
|

|
V.
Meetings |
| |
|
|
The Committee shall meet annually at the Annual Convention of the
Society.
|
| |
|
VI.
Reports |
| |
|
|
The Chair shall make an annual report to the Council.
|

|
VII.
Policies |
| |
|
|
- Every effort shall be made to rotate site selections through appropriate
sites in North America in the Western, Central, and Eastern regions.
- The Committee shall make every effort to establish a calendar for
NASSH conventions at least five years ahead of actual dates.
- The USA Memorial Day Weekend in late May shall be deemed to be the
Annual NASSH Convention date when possible (policy determined at 1989
Annual Meeting).
- An independent individual will be chosen to visit each site before
it is selected if it seems necessary to insure adequate conference
rooms and housing (1997 Council policy)
