The purpose of The North American Society for Sport History is to promote, stimulate, and encourage study and research and writing of the history of sport; to support and cooperate with local, national, and international organizations having the same purposes. The Society conducts its activities solely for scholarly and literary purposes and not for pecuniary profit.

NASSH 2012
The 40th annual convention of the North American Society for Sport History (NASSH) will be held at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza, Berkeley, California, USA, June 1-4, 2012.

The Program Committee encourages all NASSH members and others interested in sport history to think about attending the annual convention in Berkeley, California.

All submissions have been evaluated by the Program Committee according to their individual merit, contribution to the field, and potential contribution as components of the total program. The deadline for the submission of proposals was December 1, 2011. Please contact Daniel A. Nathan, Program Chair, with any questions at dnathan@skidmore.edu.
