Ingrassia has won the 2013 NASSH Book Award in the Monographs category, for his study, The Rise of Gridiron University: Higher Education’s Uneasy Alliance with Big-Time Football (University Press of Kansas). Murray Phillips won the 2013 Award in the Anthologies category for, Murray Phillips (ed.), Representing the Sporting Past in Museums and Halls of Fame (London: Routledge).
